Minimum Entrants
A minimum of three entrants is required for the category to progress to judging.

About the Award
This category recognises an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to their local community through their work in the hospitality industry.

The award celebrates individuals who actively support community groups, charitable organisations and local initiatives, and who go above and beyond to make a positive difference to their venue, colleagues and community.

Submission Requirements
A written submission of no more than 1,000 words is required, supported by relevant documents and images.
A headshot of the individual must also be provided.
Nominees will participate in a Zoom interview as part of the judging process.

Judging Process

• Describe the individual’s active participation in and support of community groups and activities
• Highlight the individual’s connection and contribution to their local community, including their reputation, relationships and examples of their impact
• Describe the individual’s contribution and examples of going above and beyond to positively impact the venue, staff and broader community
• Explain how the individual’s activities have increased awareness of the community groups or charities they support
• Provide examples of how the individual has supported and accommodated members of their community through initiatives at the pub

• Evidence of funds raised
• Evidence of PR and media activity resulting from the individual’s community involvement
• Relevant images and supporting documentation
