Minimum Entrants
A minimum of three entrants is required for the category to progress to judging.

National Awards Eligibility
The winner is eligible to enter the AHA National Awards for Outstanding Community Service and Achievement.

About the Award
This category recognises venues that make a meaningful contribution to their local community through active participation, fundraising, promotion and support of community groups, charitable organisations and local initiatives.

The category is open to all venues, excluding group hotels entering as one group.

Submission Requirements
A written submission of no more than 1,000 words is required, supported by relevant documents and images.

Judging Process

• Provide a summary of your charitable initiatives and community support. This may be provided in dot-point format.
• Describe how your venue supports and promotes local community groups and activities
• Outline the extent to which employees participate in community service activities
• Describe internal initiatives and events that support local groups and charitable organisations
• Explain how you communicate your community involvement to the wider community and industry
• Provide evidence of your activity, including screenshots, articles and social media posts

Supporting Documents

• Breakdown of funds raised, supported by evidence of donations, such as receipts, thank-you letters or images
• Evidence of PR and media activity resulting from your community involvement
