Best Refurbished Venue Space

Minimum Entrants
There must be a minimum of three entrants in a category for nominees to progress to the judging phase.

National Awards Eligibility
The winner is eligible to enter the AHA National Awards.

About the Award
This category recognises excellence in the refurbishment of an individual area or space within a hotel.
Venues may nominate any area within the hotel that has been refurbished. The refurbishment must have been completed no earlier than 30 November 2025 and no later than 30 November 2026.

Submission Requirements
A written submission of no more than 1,000 words is required, supported by relevant documents and images.

Judging Process

• Provide an overview of the refurbishment and explain the vision and inspiration behind the project
• Describe how innovation was incorporated into the design and refurbishment
• Describe the quality of products and materials used, including attention to detail
• Explain how the refurbished space meets the needs of your clientele
• Demonstrate your commitment to environmental sustainability, including recycling, waste management, energy and water-saving initiatives
• Demonstrate financial growth or other measurable business outcomes resulting from the refurbished space
• Explain how the refurbishment has improved staff efficiency
• Provide evidence that the refurbishment was completed within the specified timeframe
• Include clear before and after photographs demonstrating the extent of the refurbishment
